Meet the Author
Heather Dube is a mother of 4 little girls. A graduate of Canadian college Georgian college where she obtained her Early Childhood Education diploma. Heather then furthered her studies in Australia at Griffith University graduating with a Bachelors in Education.
Heather never had much of a desire to read, it was only when she was in the 8th grade she learned that she loved reading after reading Tears of a Tiger. Her love for reading grew and so did her passion to write.
Children’s book Food in Your hair is a children's story that teaches table manners by tapping into their imagination through humor.
Heather has been touring schools for years sharing her love for reading and writing with children through school visits.

The Ross Preparatory School of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Kitts, West Indies had the opportunity to welcome the author of the children’s book, “ Food In Your Hair”. It was an awesome experience for the little ones! The author did an outstanding job keeping the children engaged and excited throughout the reading. We purchased copies of the book for our classroom library and it’s everyone’s favorite. The teachers and students purchased copies for their families and friends. Food in your hair is a great, fun way to teach table manners to the little ones that will keep them smiling. At the end of the reading the children were able to put their motor and creative skills to work by completing “Food in Your Hair” coloring sheet. Amazing, right! The early childhood team at the Ross Preparatory school would recommend this book to all daycares and elementary schools. You won’t be disappointed.
Ms. Dude came in to read to my preschool students. The book was age appropriate (touching on something toddlers often do and the length of the book was enough to keep their attention) I particularly loved that she had coloring activities to go with her book and spoke to the children about why it is important to keep food out of our hair. She has a pleasant and friendly voice and the children were eager to participate.
